About Me
My Background
Michael graduated from the University of Miami, where he studied graphic design, painting and art history. He has a BA in Art and Advertising Communication. Creative thinking is part of Michael at his core.
Michael lives in Boca Raton, Florida. He works closely with interior designers, builders and high-end private clients. He began his career over 30 years ago as a graphic designer, working for various advertising agencies and boutique design firms. But being stuck in a 9 to 5 corporate job was not rewarding enough. He began taking on commissioned paintings and went deep into the world of decorative art, while raising a beautiful family in South Florida. From Miami to Palm Beach, Michael has created works of art for hotels, clubhouses, model homes, spec homes and private clients alike. His work includes murals, custom canvas artwork, masterpiece replications, over 100 unique styles of decotative wall finishes, kids' room murals, large abstract paintings and a whole lot more.

My Inspiration
I enjoy nature. I love everything natural in the world, from the biggest scales of galaxies to the inner workings of quantum mechanics at unimaginable scales. It's perplexing how the right combination of matter, heat and starlight have danced together in infinite combinations and through eons of spacetime, forming together and creating the ultimate, most powerful force in the universe... Love.
Perhaps that is the reason life exists in the first place, whether we are the only planet that has found life or we're just a spec in a vast ocean of planets where life has begun and has flourished. We may never know the answers to these questions, but we do feel that that we are conscious and we do know what love feels like. I'm grateful that I am aware of such thoughts and I am able to have discussions about these concepts. We should not take that for granted for a single day.
I feel lucky to have just been born!

My Medium
I use many different mediums, such as acrylics, oil paints, watercolor, charcoal and ink. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests its own individual characteristics and the right medium can help that process. For commissioned pieces, it's often the client's preference of medium, with my guidance, of course.
I also love painting at a large scale. The larger the artwork, the greater emotional impact it has on the observer. This is the reason my preferred medium is acrylic latex paints, because of its flexibility and quick drying time.
Some of my pieces use charcoal and ink in combination with acrylics.
